Conrad Performs Well in North/South All-Star Game
Logan's own Joe Conrad recently competed in the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association North/South All-Star Football classic. The game was a return to Crew Stadium for Conrad, where he finished his career in the purple in white in November. Conrad started, and played much of the game for the South All-Stars. Joey completed most of his passes, and completed one deep pass to OSU-Bound Angelo Chattams from Dayton Chaminade-Julienne. Other standouts from the South offense included the explosive Brookhaven running back Maurice Hall, also OSU Bound. The South won the contest 20-7. The South Defense was led by OSU-Bound Simon Fraser of Upper Arlington, Mitchell Crossley of Springfield South, Na' Shan Goodard of Dayton Dunbar, Kyle Mogoteaux of Piqua, and OSU-Bound Redgie Arden of Ironton.
The North had stars of it own, but could not overcome the dominance of the South Defense. The North offense had stars such as Washington State-Bound Josh Swogger of Youngstown Ursuline, Purdue-Bound Jameson Evans of Shaker Heights, and OSU-Bound Brandon Schnittker of Sandusky Perkins. The North Defense played hard all day, making the South work for all it's yardage. The North Defense was led by Michigan-Bound Pierre Woods of Cleveland Glenville. He was all over the field.
The Game was a great experience which gave 6,000 fans from around the state of Ohio a chance to see some of the best the state has to offer.
