Logan VS Sheridan Scrimmage
We've said all season so far, that this Friday would be the first test for this year's football squad. Well, Logan didn't exactly pass with flying colors. The Chieftains were defeated by the Generals of Sheridan 2-1. The Chieftains showed signs of brilliance, but really need to improve if they want to win next week in New Lexington.
The Chieftains started off really well during the 10-play portion of the scrimmage. Sheridan was held scoreless, while the Chieftains put together a scoring drive. But from then on, it seemed Logan lost focus and intensity.
The Sheridan Generals began dominating both sides of the ball, on both lines. The Chieftains let themselves be pushed around, and struggled to move the ball or stop the Generals ground attack.
Like Tuesday, I'll list the Good, the Bad, and this week the Ugly.
The Good:
1.Adam Puhl had a nice game kicking. His PATs were good, and his punts were a
thing of beauty.
The Bad:
1.The Offensive Line. Harden rarely had holes to run through and Penrod seemed
to be pressured every play.
The Ugly:
1.The Missed tackles by the defense. They were in position all night to make the
plays, but just failed to do so. The Chieftains will need to HIT, AND rap.
