The Cheiftains finished up there first week of Two-A-Days this past Saturday, and the young men are eager to scrimmage Circleville on Tuesday. "Competition" has been the major factor so far, as nearly every position has atleast two players capable of filling in. It's created a great environment in which every player has to bust his butt if he plans on starting at Westerville South on August 22.
The week concluded with an inter-squad scrimmage on Saturday morning. The teams split into two-squads, and play was heated all day long. There was a lot excitement and energy among the players. This group loves to play football.
The only down moments of the week came Friday morning when Junior Cody Cook dislocated his elbow, and then on Saturday when Junior BJ Hughes went down with an undisclosed injury. Other than those two instances, the Chiefs are healthy and excited to kick-off the 2003 football season.
