LoganFootball.com's Look at Chieftain Graduates Still on the Gridiron (Week 4, Sept. 25-Oct. 2)


There are currently 7 LHS grads continuing their careers at the collegiate level.  This fall, LF.com hopes to keep track of these seven players each week.  Here is the week 5 edition.



Joey Conrad, Class of 2001 (Glenville (WV) State College)
LoganFootball.com was on hand as the Pioneers defeated arch-rival Fairmont State at the latter's home field this past Saturday.  Joey Conrad and the Pioneers shook off a sluggish start to win going away 24-3.

Conrad completed 30-40 passes for 422 yards and 3 touchdowns with only 1 INT.

Glenville moved to 4-2 on the season.  The Pioneers will travel to Central State this Saturday (Oct. 8).  Kick-off is slated for 1:30 PM.


Jesse Henestofel, Class of 2001 and Jason Dicken, Class of 2003 (Muskingum College)
Muskingum picked up their first win, upping their record to 1-3, as they topped Baldwin Wallace 16-10. Jesse Henestofel made four stops for the Muskies and intercepted a pass.  Jason Dicken still has not caught a pass this season for the Muskies.

Muskingum will travel to John Carroll at 1:30 PM October 8th.


Derek Harden, Class of 2002 (The Ohio State University)
Ohio State was idle.

The Buckeyes will travel to Penn State for a night game on Oct. 8.


Matt Mong, Class of 2002 (University of Dayton)
The Flyers moved to 5-0 on the season as they topped visitin Jacksonville 49-17.  Matt Mong rushed for 6 yards on 2 carries for the Flyers.

The Flyers will travel to Drake for a PFL game.  Kick-off is slated for 2:00 PM.


Justin Pack, Class of 2005 (Ohio Dominican University)
ODU fell to 1-4 with a loss to Urbana.  Logan's Justin Pack is still overcoming an ankle injury, and looks to get on the field soon.


Corey Spackey, Class of 2005 (College of Mount St Josephs (Cincinnati, OH)
Look for Corey to contribute on the CMSJ JV team during the 2005 season as he works toward earning playing time for the Lions in 2006.
