Derek Harden (Class of 2002) Competes in OSU Jersey Scrimmage

Former LHS running back Derek Harden (Class of 2002) competed in the Ohio State University jersey scrimmage this Saturday April 17th. Harden, a walk-on wide receiver, was a 3-year Varsity letterman for the Chieftains from 1999-2001. He is the career leading in scoring, and owns the single season mark for rushing yards. He also rank 3rd all-time in career rusing yards.
Harden was a member of the victorious Grey squad, the offense, which means that from now until next spring the offense will wear the scarlet jerseys during practice. Harden was in on 10-15 plays with the offense, and made two catches. It is believed he is the only walk-on to make a catch. The highlight for Harden came late in the afternoon when he made a leaping 15-20 yard grab.
Harden will participate in the OSU Spring Game this coming Saturday, April 24th.
