Cambridge scouting report: One bad quarter is all that keeps Bobcats from being 3-0
CAMBRIDGE — The Cambridge Bobcats are one disastrous first quarter away from coming into Friday night’s game with the Logan Chieftains undefeated.
In their season opener with Indian Creek, the Blue and White were shelled for 20 points in the first quarter of a 20-0 loss to the Redskins.
To sum up the Bobcats’ first quarter, on the Redskins’ second possession, Cambridge made an interception but fumbled during the return and Indian Creek returned that fumble over 60 yards for the game’s second touchdown.
Since then, Cambridge has recorded wins over John Glenn (30-0) and Canton South (28-19). Like Logan, CHS overcame a fourth-quarter deficit last week against Canton South by scoring a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns.
