LOGAN — The Logan High School Athletic Department is helping promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month and raise funds for research in fighting the disease.
Purple replica Logan Chieftain miniature football helmets, as well as miniature pink helmets, are now on sale in the LHS athletic department for $20 apiece. They will also be on sale at the Chiefs’ home game Friday against Portsmouth and next Friday’s home contest against Jackson in Logan Chieftain Stadium.
In addition, LHS will raffle off a regulation-sized pink helmet at school and at the two aforementioned football games. The drawing will be held at next week’s Jackson game. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
Members of the Logan football team and cheerleading squads are also wearing pink shoelaces this month. Pink shoelaces can be purchased at LHS, and at the football games, for a $5 donation.
