LoganFootball.com debuts new feature in 17th year

As LoganFootball.com begins its seventeenth season providing coverage of Logan Chieftain football, we are excited to announce a new addition to our coverage.

Starting with this Friday's game against Teays Valley, LoganFootball.com will bring #ChieftainNation a live stream of each and every Chieftain football game. Kevin Dunigan will handle play-by-play duties while Spencer Waugh will serve as game analyst.

Last season, equipment was purchased to begin streaming, however technical difficulties delayed our ability to bring games to fans last fall.

For too long LHS alumni and fans outside of the listening area of 98.3fm have asked for an online stream, and after three years of work we are excited to add a stream as part of our coverage.

Live coverage will begin at 6:45pm on Friday night and every game will be archived, meaning that if you're at another game or just want to relive the action, you'll be able to find the action through LoganFootball.com.

Scott and Wade do a great job. Why don't you use them?

Fred,

Scott and Wade are great. But they have not been available online.

I have reached out to Scott in the past and offered to work together, including offering to cover any costs.

Scott and Wade have been great to work with, but it is my understanding that whoever manages 98.3 didn't want to work together.

I have bought equipment with own money and not gone after a single sponsor for my website or broadcast. It is truly a labor of love.

In the future, if 98.3 has an online broadcast I will reconsider our project and would be glad to work with Scott and Wade in the future.

I thought 98.3 just announced they were doing live streaming on games?

Bob -

They did.

5 days after Kevin announced on Facebook that we would be doing games online.

98.3 has had a "streaming page" on their website or at least the last two seasons and have yet to stream a game there

98.3 has talked about streams before and have not done so for years - despite offers from more than one person to help (or completely) cover the cost.

As I said above, if 98.3 actually has an online streaming broadcast in the next couple of weeks, we'll reevaluate whether our broadcast is necessary.
